'Drie turven hoog' is an expression for a small kid. A 'turf' being a piece of dried peat. (Used as fuel in heaters till about 60/50 years ago. A smurf, is also a small creature. And the word 'smurf' is also being used to mean little kid.
Hence the drieturfsmurf
