I'm a geordie and come from the same region as G and A. As I'll be going back to England soon I could ask to meet up with them when the dust clears. It may do them good to put a human face to one of us - but I would only do that with your consent and thiers too. As far as consent goes, if you'd like to meet up with them and explain things, then feel free to - but only if you personally want to for yourself. As far as the new site goes, there's not really much need for negotiation any more - it would have been great to be able to negotiate before we left the place, but now we've gone our separate ways. For me, the AFF chapter of my life is over...

I have to say I do not think we need to interact with them as a site or as people. They want our input, help, understanding, collaboration or respect? They can get stuffed. They had their opportunity to make things better and to apologise and salvage a very bad situation of their own making and they blew it. They wanted to convince themselves there were three or four "troublemaking bullies" and that the rest of us were (or should be rest of you ) would fall into line. They convinced themselves we had no right to demand fair treatment and that THEY were AFF and could do or say what they liked to the members who chose to frequent their forum. I am not a subtle guy and I very directly pointed out to them both numerous times what their options were to salvage things and why. THEY CHOSE NOT TO. Our responsibility ends for AFF on their choices.

I'm just glad that after leaving AFF we brought it to its knees
possibly even fatally wounding it.

I can't rejoice either. I think it is sad what happened. I have had a very good time there. But now don't feel at home there anymore. I'll enjoy spectrumites. Not because I hate AFf. But because I feel at home here. And I think it has everything needed to make it a very good place. AFF is my past. Most of it was great. The end was horrible. But most was great.

I agree with you both. If not for that place I would not have met you guys. I would not be as supported through so rough and lonely times. I remember with great joy the early times and many times and many threads between. 18 months of my life. I was fighting hard to get A to see but well.......we saw tat was not enrirely successful.

I am very hopeful that Spectrumites becomes very very successful, I am hopeful that that is the forum that people find when they do a search on AS. I want people to find a place to be where they are not going to run into such issues.
So, I am not sad to see it heading down the path of no return over there. It is not a healthy place.
