Its not quite as fun as "who wants to be a millionaire", but oh well...
In the (very)early days of AFF, we used to have regularly scheduled monthly meetings over IRC. This was actually a very useful tool for getting things decided, since it was in real-time, and I think it's definatley something that we should bring back. I'd be slightly uncomfortable with using ChatAutism though--it seems like there's going to be quite a bit of animosity between Spectrumites and G&A for a while.
So if we wanted to do this, we would either have to: 1.Set up a new IRC server or 2.Set up some channels on a system like Rizon or Undernet
I'm leaning towards option 2, mainly because I'm willing to admin a system but I lack a box that I can keep on consistently enough to be useful as a server. The disadvantage of this, of course, is that we're then at the mercy of the network(although this might be slightly more reliable than a single server). Of course, if someone had a reliable comp that they'd be willing to host it on, that would be the best.

damn, I just saw this.
I've set up a temp channel on freenode; go look in the "I don't know what to think" thread.
I'll freely admit, I'm not that versed in IRC, but...well, it's a start.
